1. I don't have enough money to invest.

Sure, some firms have minimum dollar requirements in order for you to get in the door, however not all firms are the same. Be sure to research different advisors and see if they have a niche practice. Do they enjoy working with people right out of college? Help newlyweds get off on the right foot financially? Specialize in divorce? Work with those approaching retirement only? Specialize in women? Some will work with any age, some find a niche and stick to it. There really is an advisor for every stage of your financial life.

2. I'm embarrassed about my finances.

Look we have all been there at one point, spent too much on a vacation we probably shouldn’t have gone on, haven’t saved enough in our emergency savings, etc. It is OK, we are all human after all.  The point is that as advisors we have seen it all. The right advisor is someone who understands your situation and doesn’t judge if you have had money hiccups. The fact that you have made an appointment to get back on the path of financial wellness and have the drive to save for retirement, college, etc is a positive step in the right direction!

3. I don't understand investing at all

That is what we are here for! We are here to help you navigate the lingo, the economy, and your retirement needs. We work to explain terms in ways that make sense, the more you know, the more empowered you are to make the right decisions and gain control of your financial future.  You probably wouldn’t feel embarrassed going to a car mechanic to fix something you have no idea about, same is true with meeting with an advisor.

4. I am in the middle of a divorce, inheritance, settlement, etc.

As advisors we are happy to walk you through the caveats of all life experiences. When something is out of our range of expertise, we partner with other local specialists to help you navigate your new and sometimes complex situations.

5. We genuinely care.

The right advisor will genuinely care about your well-being. We want to make sure you are comfortable and empowered to make the right financial decisions. We want to hear about your family, your upcoming vacations, your pets. You are our number one priority! Life is a roller coaster, and we want to hop on to support you on this ride.
