Job Description:

The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will work with firm partners and multiple advisors to assist developing marketing/social media campaigns/materials to promote client communication and firm name recognition, plan firm events, as well as, provide administrative support in the marketing and clerical area.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead marketing efforts to maintain a dynamic firm Website and social media accounts for the firm, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Assist with creation of advertising materials (e.g. event invites, newsletters, print ads, on-line ads, brochures) utilizing graphic design programs.
  • Email marketing – creation, delivery and enhancement. Utilize email campaign software, as well as, keep abreast of industry developments in marketing, advertising, and social mediate PR strategies to enhance firm name recognition and marketing success.
  • Social Media marketing, plan timelines, procure content and manage execution of firm social media.
  • Plan all firm and client events, including sponsor, speaker and venue procurement, event theme creation, planning through execution.
  • Manage and execute email and mail marketing campaigns by integrating business information and graphics into brochures, presentations, and letters.
  • Completing data/mail merges in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Printing and packaging hard copy marketing materials and organizing the outbound mailing process.
  • Write copy for Public Relations and other marketing/advertising opportunities.
  • Design and order firm stationary, marketing materials ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to extract data from multiple databases to effectively execute marketing mailers, drip campaigns and client touches (Strong datamining, Excel skills are desirable, but not required—you will be trained on our software and systems).
  • Coordinate between multiple advisors to prioritize and organize different types of marketing strategies.
  • Submit all marketing, advertising and required communications through the compliance approval process.
  • Build and maintain industry expertise to compliment all marketing and advertising content
  • Verify accuracy and consistency of information and content being sent, thus an extremely detail-oriented person is ideal.
  • Track and analyze performance and success of SEO strategies through SEO vendor.
  • Provide telephone and reception area back-up in greeting and scheduling clients.
  • Support administrative team in the scanning of documents, compiling of mailers and general clerical support.

Education/Skills Required:

  • A college graduate or student with an emphasis in marketing/social media study is preferred, though not required.
  • Regardless of one's field of study, candidates should possess a genuine interest in business marketing, aptitude to learn aspects of the financial planning industry and simply a desire to be a meaningful member of a team of professionals in a business environment.
  • Marketing, social media, event planning and P/R are a plus.
  • Strong mail merge, data extraction, and Excel skills.

Administrative Support Position Available

We are looking to fill a part-time position with a college student looking for experience in the Financial Services industry working with an established financial planning firm. Ideally, we would like to recruit a student of sophomore or junior standing.

Tasks will primarily be clerical, such as:

  • Scanning
  • Filing
  • Greeting clients and covering the front desk
  • Providing support on various projects and client events
  • Data entry

This position is ideal for someone interested in working part-time while completing their college education with the prospect of growing into a career with Ford Financial Group. While an emphasis in Finance or a related business study, isn’t necessary, it is preferred.

The ideal candidate will present a professional demeanor, be a self-starter, goal-oriented, possess strong computer skills and a willingness to be a team player.
